How long does it take to clean carpets and upholstery?
To an extent that depends on how clean/dirty your carpet or upholstery is and how much furniture there is to move. We can give you an estimated time when you book. However, if we find a tough stain we won’t leave until it’s gone.
An average three piece suite takes 2-3 hours, again depending on soil level.
How long does it take to dry carpets and upholstery?
Drying times vary with which system we use; a dry system is instant, a wet clean takes 4-6 hours. However even on the most dirty restoration jobs we always guarantee it will be dry overnight.
Do I need to move furniture?
No, we can move it for you. All we ask is that cabinets are emptied and you move photo frames and delicate items such as vases or flat screen tv’s yourself. However we can usually clean underneath cabinets and t.v. stands on legs, using a special tool, without needing to move it.
When can I use my carpets and upholstery again?
You can use carpets immediately; however, if possible leave it to dry for 2-4 hours and the pile will stay upright and better looking for longer. Upholstery needs 4-6 hours before being put back to use. A good tip is to book your sofa as the first job of the day so that you can use it the same evening.
Can you clean mattresses?
Yes we do, and we also apply a dust mite inhibitor after cleaning. We also recommend that the mattress is aired for 24 hours before use.
Can you remove my stain?
Yes in most cases we can remove stains; red wine, oil, coffee and tea are stains we see everyday and remove successfully, but we do love a challenge.
We stand by what we say: “If we can’t remove it no-one can!”
Do you apply Scotchgard carpet and upholstery protector ?
We have been applying Scotchgard and cleaning Scotchgard-protected items since 1972, and all our staff follow the training plan from 3M Scotchgard. As the only licensed applicator in the North East, you know we will do the job correctly.
